Ms. Nozipho S. Sibanda- Project Manager
Nozipho has been working for Insedlu Business Companion in the capacity of the Companion Navigator since 2014. She is responsible for writing up Business Proposals, assisting in developing research instruments, supervising research field workers, and navigating the Project management application (Companion Pulse) in which she was instrumental in its development and evolution.
The program is an e-project management system that enables the company to better manage all projects while considering the storage filling and security of information of all project information. Moreover, the system can be utilized remotely, hence the efficiency of internal project management systems, thereby enhancing the interaction between clients and the project manager.

Insedlu has established a Local Economic Development (LED) Project Management Office and provided training to LED officials in project management. This resulted in the formation of innovation teams for implementing catalytic projects. We successfully implemented eight projects, including commercializing a Wool clip worth R15m and revitalizing the Mqanduli Milling Plant worth R41m, benefiting multiple communities. To improve efficiency, we assigned a full-time Assistant Project Manager to work with KSD LED officials, providing training in Project Management, Effective Communication, and Consulting the Systems way. We conducted an Employee Satisfaction and Engage Survey, forming LED Innovation Teams to address identified gaps and promote a team-based approach to project implementation. We successfully operationalized the Mqanduli Milling Plant, creating employment for four individuals and empowering 19 primary cooperatives. Additionally, we registered 67 primary cooperatives for the KSD Woolclip Commercialization Project, benefiting over 400 people. We facilitated the registration, training, and operation of 80 cooperatives, developed 30 business plans, and secured funding approvals for LED initiatives totaling approximately R10m. Furthermore, we played a pivotal role in establishing a Memorandum of Understanding between KSD Farmers, ECRDA, and ECDC, unlocking funding for the Jobs Fund. Our achievements highlight our expertise in LED project establishment, training LED officials, and successfully implementing projects.
